Let me start off by saying how blessed I am that so many people have been interested in getting their hands in the depths of writing. Though things have been quiet here on the website, we have not stopped reaching our hands to the sky. We have been writing and editing, as well as discussing the direction we would like to take this project. We have decided that this project will remain in modulation. How could we ever decide one thought to fly with?
That being said, I’d like to take the time to discuss the newly published works here on the website.
Michael Lucas, a recent graduate of Kent State University has been very active in his community. He currently works at the Kent Community TimeBank and largely spends the rest of his time volunteering with outreach to prisoners. He is much more than a social commentator, he is a person who works to see our government work for us– rather than against us.
He has supplied us with not only works from himself, but from Sean Swain.
Below is a description taken from ‘seanswain.org’ , a website organized to help Mr.Swain in his journey to be released from imprisonment.
Sean Swain is a hostage held by a lawless rogue-state calling itself “The State of Ohio.”1 He has been held without legal conviction or sentence since 1991 for the self-defense killing of a court official’s relative who broke into Sean’s home and threatened his life. In 2011, the Ohio Adult Parole Authority gave Sean a continuance of 5 years without notifying his counsel of a full-board hearing as required by statute. None of the State’s laws apply in Sean Swain’s case. His next parole eligibility date is in 2016 but there is no reason to believe the State will have any greater regard for justice or truth than it does now, so Sean has stated that he will not attend that hearing.
Sean is the only son of a retired auto worker and stay-home mom. He has renounced his high school diploma, his college degree, and his honorable discharge from the U.S. military. Before being taken hostage, Sean worked as a newspaper columnist and as a union organizer.
According to the federal courts, Sean’s prison writings “promote anarchy and rebellion against authority.”2 Since he has been stripped of all constitutional protections he has been forced to write underground like writers in all fascist police states. His work is available for free in print and on-line because the system of capital sucks and nobody should be paid for telling the truth.
Sean ran for Ohio Governor in 2006 and 2010 on a Zapatista platform that in many ways prefigured the Occupy Movement. He supports arming the homeless, burning down banks and courthouses, abolishing the State, and dismantling civilization in order to make something better. Though innocent of any crime, and though he is held without legal conviction or sentence, Sean will only be liberated when the illegitimate power of the lawless rogue state holding him hostage is abolished once and for all.
The State started the war. Sean Swain intends to finish it.
